Hard Rock to open first hotel in India

Hard Rock International Inc. is planning to open its first Indian property in March 2015. The company is planning to the current North 16 Goa Resort owned by Convention Hotels India into the new Hard Rock hotel.

The 135-room hotel in the town of Calangute will feature a restaurant, room service, swimming pool, courtyard and a poolside bar and grill, as well as a workout facility, meeting and event space, and a Rock Shop featuring Hard Rock's iconic merchandise.

Hard Rock Hotel Goa will be managed by Spectra Hotels & Resorts, a joint venture between Convention Hotels India and Spectra Hospitality Services. Convention Hotels India and Spectra Hospitality Services also are exploring other in-country hotel opportunities in partnership with Hard Rock International.
